Kathua 04 Feb: Department of oncology, GMC, Kathua also organised a walkathon today on world cancer day to aware the masses of Kathua.
The walkathon was flagged off by Principal GMC, Kathua Dr Surinder Kumar Atri from parking lot of GMCH and it passed through dreamland park to Capt. Sunil Chaudhary chowk to Shaheedi chowk to GDC, Kathua and back to GMCH via canal road. The participants were the faculty members of various departments, paramedics and MBBS students.
The purpose of the event was to raise awareness among people of Kathua about the cancer services available at GMC, Kathua. GMC, Kathua is providing screening, diagnostic, surgical and chemotherapy & immunotherapy to the patients.
Dr Surinder K Atri urged the public of Kathua to avail the services of oncology department at GMC, Kathua which are being provided under Ayushmann Bharat scheme.
He also thanked the local media of Kathua for giving wide coverage to this event.
