Quick police action leads to arrest of accused; weapon recovered

Jammu, April 22: Panic gripped the Bridge Nagar area of Miran Sahib after two rounds of bullets were fired, leaving one person seriously injured. The incident created fear among local residents, who immediately informed the police.
Acting swiftly on the information, SHO Miran Sahib, Jatinder Singh, along with his team, reached the spot and took prompt action. The police successfully arrested the accused and recovered the weapon used in the crime.
According to sources, the main आरोपी has been identified as Ankush Sharma, son of Brij Lal alias Vijay, who was arrested shortly after the incident. The injured victim has been identified as Sandeep Sharma. Both the accused and the victim are residents of the same locality in Bridge Nagar.
Sandeep Sharma, who sustained serious injuries during the firing, was initially admitted to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu. Due to the critical nature of his condition, he was later referred to Amritsar for advanced treatment.
Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway to ascertain the motive behind the firing.
