The relations nosedived further in the second half of last year after Ottawa linked several Indian diplomats including High Commissioner Sanjay Verma to the murder of Nijjar.

In October last, Canada expelled Mr Verma and five other diplomats. In retaliation, New Delhi also expelled Canadian Charge d’Affaires Stewart Wheeler and five other diplomats. It is expected that the case may figure during Doval’s conversation with Rogers.

It is Ms Gabbard’s second foreign trip after assuming charge as the director of national intelligence. During her first international trip, Gabbard travelled to Germany to attend the Munich Security Conference last month.

(Except for the headline, this story has not been edited by NDTV staff and is published from a syndicated feed.)

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval held bilateral talks with US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, and chaired a conclave of top global intelligence czars focusing on boosting cooperation in confronting various security challenges.

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Sunday held bilateral talks with US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard,

[1

post-98683","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized
["https://alertindianews.in/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/82emp7mo_ajit-doval-tulsi-gabbard_625x300_17_March_25-zB65Yw.jpeg",1200,738,false
https://alertindianews.in/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/82emp7mo_ajit-doval-tulsi-gabbard_625x300_17_March_25-zB65Yw-150x150.jpeg",150,150,true
https://alertindianews.in/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/82emp7mo_ajit-doval-tulsi-gabbard_625x300_17_March_25-zB65Yw-300x185.jpeg",300,185,true
https://alertindianews.in/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/82emp7mo_ajit-doval-tulsi-gabbard_625x300_17_March_25-zB65Yw-768x472.jpeg",640,393,true
https://alertindianews.in/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/82emp7mo_ajit-doval-tulsi-gabbard_625x300_17_March_25-zB65Yw-1024x630.jpeg",640,394,true],"1536x1536":["https://alertindianews.in/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/82emp7mo_ajit-doval-tulsi-gabbard_625x300_17_March_25-zB65Yw.jpeg",1200,738,false],"2048x2048":["https://alertindianews.in/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/82emp7mo_ajit-doval-tulsi-gabbard_625x300_17_March_25-zB65Yw.jpeg",1200,738,false
https://alertindianews.in/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/82emp7mo_ajit-doval-tulsi-gabbard_625x300_17_March_25-zB65Yw-825x575.jpeg",825,575,true
https://alertindianews.in/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/82emp7mo_ajit-doval-tulsi-gabbard_625x300_17_March_25-zB65Yw-590x410.jpeg",590,410,true
["GET
