(Source: Facebook\/Screenshot)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Is it true?:\u00a0<\/strong>No, the video is a deepfake\u00a0and has been altered using Artificial Intelligence (AI).<\/p>\n<p><strong>How did we find out the truth?:\u00a0<\/strong>We ran a reverse image search on the video, which led us to a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?app=desktop&amp;v=7H08J8fWEjo\" rel=\"nofollow,noindex\" target=\"_blank\">YouTube video<\/a>\u00a0shared by channel named &#8216;Blue Sky&#8217; on\u00a0<strong>30 January 2020<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>The video featured Murty at a talk about &#8220;philanthropy, gender equality, and more,&#8221; according to the video&#8217;s description.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>In the whole video, she did not mention the investment platform or encourage people to spend any money or share any information.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"ins_instory_dv\">\n<div class=\"ins_instory_dv_cont\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"The viral clip uses visuals from Murtys talk with Blue Sky. (Source: Facebook\/YouTube\/Altered by The Quint)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>On observing the video, we noticed that there was a slight mismatch between the audio in the clip and Murty&#8217;s mouth movements.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Due to this, we ran the video through Contrails.ai and Hive Moderation&#8217;s deepfake detection tools.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/hivemoderation.com\/ai-generated-content-detection\" rel=\"nofollow,noindex\" target=\"_blank\">Hive Moderation<\/a>&#8216;s tool gave the video an aggregate score of 99.3 percent, stating that the video was &#8220;likely to contain AI-generated or deepfake content.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"ins_instory_dv\">\n<div class=\"ins_instory_dv_cont\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Their analysis was certain that the audio was spoofed. (Source: Hive Moderation\/Screenshot)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Contrails.ai&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dit.contrails.ai\/view\/660f716b-5a03-4284-8b99-80d4c32a4e28\" rel=\"nofollow,noindex\" target=\"_blank\">report<\/a>\u00a0too, found that both the video and audio elements were manipulated using AI,<\/p>\n<div class=\"ins_instory_dv\">\n<div class=\"ins_instory_dv_cont\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Contrails.ai detected manipulation in the audio and video elements of the clip. (Source: Contrails.ai\/Screenshot)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>It added that the video used LipSync technique and lowered the resolution of the video, &#8220;creating an effect of realism.&#8221; For the audio element, it said that &#8220;Mrs Sudha Murty&#8217;s voice clone is used.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The link\u00a0shared with the claim leads users to a fake The\u00a0<em>Times of India<\/em>\u00a0article with a URL mentioned &#8216;Castle Hotel Sultan India&#8217;, which also features billionaire Elon Musk.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ins_instory_dv\">\n<div class=\"ins_instory_dv_cont\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"This is fake report replicating the Times of Indias layout for web articles.
