Kathua : Today on 13.11.2025 at about 6:00 am morning Forest Team of Kathua Forest Range led by B.O HQ Kathua Sh. Anshu Sharma with the assistance of staff of FCP Bamyal and Nagri and Jasrota Range seized four trucks bearing Registration No. JK02AJ/9017, JK11D/4708, JK02BK/4771 and JK02CK/8157 loaded with forest produce (fuelwood) from the premises of Diwakar Brick Kiln Mahi Chack Kathua U/S 52(1) and 52(2) of Indian Forest Act 1927 for violation of J and K Forest Produce Transit Rules, 2020 and Supreme Court’s ban on timber export out of JK UT by transportation of forest produce about 40 KM beyond the allowed destination and attempting to smuggle the banned forest produce out of Jammu and Kashmir UT.
The whole operation was carried out under direct supervision of DFO Kathua Sh. Ankit Sinha, Range Officer Kathua Sh. Narinder Kumar and Range Officer Jasrota Sh. Munish Gupta. Drivers of all the trucks were also detained for investigation.
